Honeymooning Day 3 - Animal Kingdom

We spent the third day of our honeymoon checking out Animal Kingdom. This was my husbands first time there, and my second, though many of the attractions were new to me. It was really fun trying out a new park together.

One of the best parts is that the whole park is like a living zoo, with so many animals and wild life trails sprinkled throughout the park. Everything is set up so as it doesn't feel as restrictive as zoos, and merges seamlessly with the park.

The tree of life was quite possibly my favorite part of the park. We were constantly pointing out different animals and carvings we could see in it. Typical Disney, making everything as unique and thoroughly well done as could be.

Dinosaur was a new attraction we tried together, and it was really well done! But definitely not for the faint of heart. It scared me and I honestly didn't think we'd get out haha!

ALSO a really awesome guy who worked here gave us a free fast pass each, because we were on our honeymoon. So many of the park attendees are such genuinely nice and happy people. It's infectious!

This was another really well done ride. I won't spoil the surprise for you, but it totally got me pretty good!

Animal Kingdom and the food. Ohmygosh. Totally up my alley, with fresh fruit and falafel. One stand was out of mixed drinks and so we asked if they could Captain Morgans to an iced lemondae. She said sureeee! It was actuallly really good. We were both blown away by how sweet and accommodating everyone at the park was.

Not a super flattering pic on the safari ride.

Right about now we got asked if we wanted to be in a parade, to which I responded, "He's lucky he got me to wear the hat let alone be in a parade!"  But honestly, if it hadn't been about to rain we might have done it :-p

We did really well going to the parks from opening to about 2-3 then heading back to the hotel to regroup.  I can't imagine traveling with young ones, but I think we'd probably try to keep a similar schedule. Plus going in February, it still got hot midday, and we loved going back to hotel pool (and WATER SLIDE) for a dip to cool off and a light snack.

More Day 3 tomorrow :-) Happy Monday, Folks! Sending Disney vibes your way!

Patty
